Pronouns: He/him

Year started playing/involved in wheelchair rugby? 2025

Role/discipline played? Fours and WR5s

How you got into wheelchair rugby? I spotted a flyer at the South West MS Centre. Whilst battling a disability, I was looking for a way to stay active, grow myself as a person, improve my health and fitness, and get involved in a competitive team sport—the Hawks turned out to be exactly what I was looking for.

Favourite thing about wheelchair rugby? The speed, the tactics, and the satisfying sound of a big hit. It’s like chess—just with a lot more encouraged contact.

Best moment playing wheelchair rugby? My first session doing the ‘Popping’ drill. Realising the hits weren't actually that scary—and then realising I was 100% hooked.

And less about Wheelchair Rugby…

Sporting hero? Eric ‘The Eel’ Moussambani and Eddie the Eagle. I admire people who prove the "you can’t" crowd wrong and triumph through sheer persistence.

Three words to describe me? Honest, reliable, family-oriented.

One thing people don’t know about me? I used to play the drums.

Favorite pre game song? Any rock power ballad I can sing along to with all my heart (air guitar moves included).

Other sports played? Used to play squash, ultimate frisbee, and ten-pin bowling.
